BWT-100R is the latest animal warmer designed for mice and rats. The former model, BWT-100 is quite popular and widely used in the animal research communities over 30 years, proven by a bunch of publications. In this new model BWT-100R, we added two new features which are often requested by the former users:

EM-shielded heating pad for electrophysiology

The pad used in BWT-100R contains a “Faraday-cage” inside! An internal metallic layer catches electromagnetic waves from heater so no EM noise is picked up by ephys amplifiers. Best for neurophysiology (EEG, LFP, spikes), ECG, EMG, etc.

Dual analog output for rectal and pad temperature

Rectal temperature can be continuously monitored by inserting a rectal temperature sensor probe into the animal’s rectum, with the possibility of closed-loop heating control to maintain the target temperature. BWT-100Ris a unique animal warmer in terms of having the fearture of real-time analog output for both rectal and pad temperature. You can connect these to an external data recorder for building a vital signs monitor together with other physiological parameters e.g. ECG, blood pressure, etc.
